The McNugget's Repreive

A gal who was painfully shy
and grateful that no one asked why
sent her twin to retrieve
the McNugget's reprieve:
a taste tester of sauces to try.

  4. Yum yum, the taste of manufactured clucks on my tongue. Had I known then what I know now, I might have chosen Wendy's when I was young and dumb and full of...breaded nugget crumbs.

  5. Thanks for the comments everyone! Me & my twin definitely used to enjoy all 38 ingredients in the McNugget (scary). Eventually we moved on to Chick Fil A for the real stuff. I hear I'm not supposed to eat there now either because they're getting all religious and political? Whatever. I just want real chicken when I order a nugget... and a bazillion yummy sauces to dip in. :) Thankfully, I'm not too shy to ask for them myself anymore. LOL.

  6. You have a twin!? Good Lord, the trouble I would cause if I had a twin. Thanks for reminding me that I need to write a post about it one of these days.

  7. Yes sir! I have a fraternal twin. Would love to hear about what your life woulda been like with a twin. I think more fun happens in people's fantasies than in real life. :)

  9. Charming verse. Is this true? I'll bet it is... Who'd have imagined the shy girl:)

  10. @liv2write2day - I'm glad you joined in the Limerick challenge! I think it's super fun. It's amazing how many different directions people can go with the same first line. :)

@Debra - Yes... it is true. I honestly don't know why I was shy about it, because I wasn't shy all the time and certainly am not now, but I didn't like going up to the counter at McDonalds. So I sent my sis. :)

  12. So glad everyone likes the font! I'm in love with my new design. :) Oh... and if you're going to go get some chicken nuggets... get some that don't have 38 ingredients ok? :)
